Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17th of September, 2024.

Hey there, privacy enthusiast! Here's the lowdown on how I handle your data at MyRetirementPlanner. Spoiler alert: I'm pretty chill about it.

What I Collect

  • If you share your plan publicly (because you're proud of it or whatever), I store the plan's data (cities, dates, monthly budget and other fields you fill in in the planner). That's it. I'm not nosy.
  • Everything else? It's all on your device. I don't want it.

Cookies and Tracking

  • Cookies? Nah, I'm not that kind of website.
  • I do use Google Analytics, though. It helps me figure out if anyone's actually using this thing.

How I Use Your Data

  • For public plans, I use the data to show off cool stats like top travel destinations. It's like a high-five for popular cities.
  • I don't use your data for anything else. Promise.
  • Important note: If you make your plan public, anyone with the link can see it. But don't worry, you can delete it later if you change your mind.

Data Protection

  • All data is encrypted at rest and while transferring. I'm not taking any chances.
  • I don't store any sensitive, identifying information. Can't leak what I don't have, right?

Compliance with Privacy Laws

  • I'm trying to follow privacy laws to the best of my knowledge. GDPR, CCPA - I'm doing my homework on these.
  • I might use cookies in the future, but for now, no cookie popups or consent forms to bug you.

Your Rights

  • Want to delete your data? Go ahead and delete your plans. That'll wipe out any associated personal info too.
  • You can't modify your data because, well, I don't really store much to begin with.

Kids and Data

  • I don't knowingly collect data from kids under 13. They should be playing outside or something.

Data Breaches

  • Let's be real: in the worst-case scenario, all plans might become public. But since these plans can only be based on data from the website itself, it's not exactly a treasure trove of sensitive info.
  • Still, I'm working on beefing up security. Better safe than sorry, right?

Changes to This Policy

  • I might update this policy sometimes. Check back here to stay in the loop.
  • I won't send you notifications about changes because, remember, I don't have your contact info.

Questions?

If you have any questions about this policy, feel free to reach out by emailing me at [email protected]. Or don't. I'm cool either way.

Remember, I'm not a lawyer, and this isn't exhaustive legal advice. If you're really concerned about your data, maybe don't put it on the internet? Just a thought.

Stay safe out there, and happy travels!
